Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made on JLPT-MockTest (the "Platform"), operated by IIT Tokyo. Please read it carefully before completing your purchase.

1All Sales Are Final

Access to our JLPT mock test(s) is provided as a digital educational service that becomes available to you immediately upon purchase. Because of the nature of this service, all payments are final and non-refundable.

By completing your one-time payment through Stripe, you acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to a refund, cancellation, or exchange once the purchase is complete, except as set out below or where a refund is required by applicable law.

2Limited Exceptions

We may, at our sole discretion, consider a refund or correction in the following limited circumstances:

  • Duplicate charge: you were charged more than once for the same purchase due to a technical error.
  • Failed access due to our fault: a verified technical problem on our side prevented you from accessing the service you paid for, and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.

In these cases, please contact us promptly with your order details so we can investigate.

3What Is Not Covered

Refunds will not be provided for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • change of mind or accidental purchase;
  • dissatisfaction with your mock test results or score;
  • not passing the official JLPT after using our mock tests;
  • failure to use the service within any access period;
  • issues caused by your own device, browser, or internet connection.

4How to Request Consideration

If you believe your situation falls under the limited exceptions, contact us at contact.iit.tokyo@gmail.com within a reasonable time of the transaction. Please include:

  • the email address used for your account;
  • the date of purchase;
  • a description of the issue.

We will review your request and respond within a reasonable period.

5Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not exclude or limit any rights you may have under applicable Japanese consumer protection law that cannot be waived. For online (mail-order) sales under Japanese law, statutory "cooling-off" cancellation rights generally do not apply; the return and refund terms stated in this policy govern your purchase.
